Kimball Wiles Elementary School, a Five Star School, was completed in 1985. The Music Specialist, a fifth (5th ) generation from Alachua County and has been a member of the Wiles faculty since the school opened and has very strong ties to the Wiles community.

The 700 plus students of Wiles have music 1 day per week, with the times averaging 40 minutes. There is also the Kimball Wiles "Wildcats" Chorus, which meets 1 day per week during the school day. The chorus students perform at numerous events in the community, including Music In Our Schools Month performances with High Spring Community and Joseph Williams elementary schools.

Mrs. Turner holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Tennessee Wesleyan College in Athens, Tennessee twcnet.edu, and a Master of Education from the University of Florida in Gainesville http://www.ufl.edu. In addition to the above degrees Mrs. Turner is a Level II Orff-Schulwerk certified teacher and is a National Board certified teacher in the area of Early to Middle Childhood Music NBPTS.

Mrs. Turner is a member of the following organizations: Music Educators National Conference MENC,  Florida Music Educators Association FMEA Florida Elementary Music Educators Association FEMEA and Heart of Florida Orff.

The students of Wiles learn the techniques of playing Recorder and Orff instruments. There are also stage performances for each grade level at Wiles each school year.

Kimball Wiles is a "feeder" school for Kanapaha Middle School and Buchholz High School.
