Foster Elementary-->Science/Math/Technology Magnet
The Academy of Math, Science, and Technology at Stephen Foster Elementary offers a comprehensive, hands-on curriculum that fully integrates math,  science, and technology in a real-world context. Individually, and in teams, students will participate  in thematic units of study that emphasize higher-order thinking, problem-solving, and data analysis. Units of study will focus on science and math explorations while using technology as a tool for analysis and presentation of findings. A science/technology teacher will facilitate daily instruction through activities/resources in our science classroom. Our program will draw upon the knowledge of  experts and guest speakers who will provide a bridge between theory and practice to enhance classroom instruction. Yes
 Academy of Traditional Studies-->Choice
The Academy of Traditional Studies will focus on the Correlates of Effective Schools research to ensure students’ successful progression in the core areas of reading, writing, math, and science. All students will be individually assessed to ensure core academic areas are taught at their instructional level. Students assessed above grade level will be allowed to advance. Multiple FCAT simulation tests will be given to assure students are meeting required State standards. Students will be graded on District and State standards. Academic progress will be closely monitored and reviewed at required parent conferences. Periodic parent/student workshops will be held focusing on academics, study skills, and strategies for school success.

Prairie View Elementary-->Prairie View Academy

The Prairie View Academy is open for enrollment to all K-5 students.  The school’s mission is to provide an outstanding program that emphasizes traditional academics, leadership skills and character education and community service.  Academics will focus on reading, math, writing, spelling, geography, and science.  Each grade level will study literature from the core curriculum books, What Every Child Needs to Know in First-Fifth Grades.  As part of school spirit and identity, uniforms for students and staff are mandatory.

Williams Elementary-->Gifted Magnet

The gifted magnet program, offering all of the standard subjects required for successful completion of elementary school and the appropriate examinations, also allows students to pursue interests that sharpen the focus in the early years. Frequently, the subjects center on a theme that unifies and adds depth to standard curriculum. The program encourages students to read widely and well. They learn to work together harmoniously and to use their own talents and interests to produce fulfilling and intellectually genuine work. All teachers are trained in working with gifted students.
