| STOMP
is a student-run club that provides students a safe place to meet, support
each other and explore issues related to discrimination and its consequences,
while working to promote tolerance and prevent discrimination.
On a daily basis, in schools across America, many students are actively discriminated against because of their differences which include: race, ethnicity, age, gender, religion, socio-economic status, sexual orientation, physical characteristics and limitations, political beliefs and familial status. The consequences of such discrimination are long lasting, severe and sometimes deadly. In fact, the majority of students who attempt suicide in this country do so because they are abused both verbally and physically due to their sexual identity. Discrimination based on our differences also leads to drug abuse, depression, attacks of physical violence, denial of equal opportunities for success, and other forms of social persecution. |
Shirts are now on sale with the STOMP logo stitched on it. They are available in t-shirts, mens and womens polos, and womens tank tops.
