What we do in the Audiovisual Library
The audiovisual library houses audiovisual materials of all types as well as equipment, which can all be checked out to teachers at Alachua County Schools for educational use.  Items are booked through school media centers and a system of couriers makes daily deliveries to all Alachua County Schools.  The audiovisual library contains videos, DVDs, kits, puppets and other audiovisual materials as well as equipment.  Our policy is that materials and equipment must be checked out through the school media specialist for educational rather than personal use.  Items can be ordered by teachers through your school media specialist.

For questions regarding the policies of the Alachua County Schools Audiovisual Library please contact Media Supervisor, Nancy L. Case at 955-6860.

Veronica Cox
Veronica Cox manages our county Audiovisual Library.  (The Article IX, section 10 of the Union Contract requires that the school board  provide this service to teachers.)  Her official title is Film Technician.   Media Specialists communicate with her to schedule video’s and equipment for teacher's classrooms.  She books materials, packs film bags, sends them out to schools, checks items out and in, and shelves returning materials.  She also does data cleanup and she has received special training so that she can be the Media Supervisor's back-up audiovisual cataloger.
