Alachua County Fire Rescue, Gaiesville Fire Rescue, Santa Fe College,
and Alachua County Public Schools all work together to support this
academy and these students. The students are trained as First
Responders (includes earning their CPR certificate), Fire Fighter I,
and also have the opportunity to dual enroll at Santa Fe College in the
EMT program. As a dual-enrolled student during the senior year,
students earn eleven college credits. This is an exciting academy for
anyone interested in becoming a Firefighter and/or an EMT.
