How To Apply

All applicants MUST complete the electronic application and attach all required documents in order to apply for a position.  Individuals needing computer access or assistance may visit the FloridaWorks Office located at 4800 SW 13 Street or the ACPS Department of Personnel Services, Kirby Smith Center, 620 East University Avenue.

APPLICATION PROCESS

·        To begin the application process you will need to register and create a username and password.

·        Once your account(s) have been created, you can return to update your application, add attachments, view your application, apply for advertised position.

·        All questions marked with an (*) asterisk must be completed.

·        Within the application there is an “Attachments” section to be used to submit documents. 

If you need assistance scanning documents, scanning services are available in the Personnel Services Department.

Instructional Applicant

 

To activate your application, the following documents must be attached to your online Instructional Application:

·        Official transcripts from all universities and colleges attended

·        Two ACPS Reference Forms or letters of recommendation

 

In addition you may attach the following:

·        Resume or other documents

·        Copies of teaching certificate or license 

·        Copies of all Florida subject area score reports   

·        Veterans’ Preference Form  

 

Once you have completed your application, you may log in to apply for any open position(s) for which you qualify.

To apply for a position:

  1. Click Current Job Postings

  2. Click Instructional Job Postings

  3. Click the specific job position, example 3rd grade, Irby Elementary

(this will take you to Detail Postings)

  1. Click the Apply button located at the bottom of the Detail Posting screen to apply for a position

Non-Instructional Applicant

Internal Employee Transfer 

 

Current substitutes must complete an Instructional or Non-Instructional Application.

 

Current employees, excluding substitutes, must complete an online Internal Employee Job Transfer to apply for positions. Once you have completed your application, you may log in to apply for any open position(s) for which you qualify.

Substitute Teacher

 

To activate your application, the following documents must be attached to your online Substitute Teacher Application:

·        Official transcripts from all universities and colleges attended

Substitute Teacher Pay:

·          Retired district teacher: $85/day  ($12.14/hour)

·          Bachelor's or higher degree: $76/day  ($10.85/hour)

·          Associate's degree or 60 college credits: $62/day ($8.85/hour)

Substitute training is mandatory for all substitute teachers and is offered after New Employee Orientation in Room 01-052, Kirby Smith, between 10:30am to 1:30 pm.

Substitute Classroom Aide, Custodian, Food Service Employee

  • Copy of High School Diploma or GED (Teacher Aide Only)

  • Two ACPS Reference Forms or letters of recommendation
