The sea life unit provides the seventh grade team with a means of starting all our students with a shared curriculum.  While studying Oceanography and Florida's Geography, students are also developing skills needed to read and retain non-fiction information on environmental issues and sea mammals.  Students also research an animal and synthesize this information into a children's book.  The semester culminates with a grade-level trip to Sea World.
