Welcome!

The seventh grade is a time of transition and transformation.  Students have mastered many of the basic skills needed to become advanced readers and writers, but there is much more for them to learn.  Our seventh grade language arts team has worked together to develop a thematic curriculum that enhances student work in other academic areas.  We feel that the skills required for success in language arts can also be actively applied to generate knowledge and understanding across the disciplines.

I would like to invite you to explore each of the thematic units contained in this site.  Please review the major assignments for each unit as well as the general academic goals.  

Contact me with any questions that you might have concerning our class activities or the Sunshine State Standards addressed in the curriculum.  At Fort Clarke we are fortunate to have excellent resources on staff and in the home, and I would like to encourage collaboration as a means of improving each child's educational opportunities at the Fort.
