Our music teacher, Mr. Joshua E. Pitts, continues the history of musical excellence that has long been synonymous with our music program. Please be certain to read our school newsletter regularly for our performance and our rehearsal schedules. We certainly look forward to performing for you!The music classes offered at Littlewood Elementary focus on achieving the Sunshine State Standards and National Content Standards for Music Education. We strive to achieve these standards through playing musical instruments, composing, listening, singing, and moving. We believe that music and music education play crucial roles in the holistic education of students as well as nurturing the human spirit.Along with the music classes offered throughout the regular school day, the Littlewood Strings Program offers various venues for interested students to expand their musical knowledge after school. Although still in the early stages of development, the program has in the works, several offerings such as violin, cello, and guitar classes. Please look for future information regarding these programs.Again, we believe that music is a VERY important area and we encourage parents to visit our music classes and attend all of our special musical productions.
